skillteq.co.za: a fast, information-only website
The public website that explains Skillteq and sends people to the App Store and Google Play.
The challenge
The website has to explain the service to customers and tradespeople, be found in search, and get people into the app, without becoming a second product to maintain.
What we built
- A static site explaining the service for customers and for tradespeople, with links to both app stores
- Structured data so search engines understand the app
- Security headers, long-term caching and self-hosted, cookie-free analytics
- Published automatically from the main branch to Cloudflare Pages
How it works
The site is built with Astro into plain HTML pages and makes no calls to the Skillteq backend from the browser, so there is little to break and little to attack. The privacy policy and terms are fetched from the admin portal's content at build time, so they always match the apps. Every change merged to the main branch is published through Cloudflare Pages, with a daily rebuild.
